Picture of Available Dog Hamilton 874
Male SableWhite
Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie Purebred
7 years
38 pounds, 18 inches
(crate trained, nochildren/cats)
Hamilton is a very relaxed and easy going guy. He is almost at his ideal weight of 35. He has lost a LOT of weight, and we are very proud of him. He is friendly, quiet, and low maintenance. He has a pretty sable and white coat. He is quirky around some people and other dogs. He will test the bounds, and needs a strong owner who will be in charge, but he is a great guy. He knows sit, down, roll over, play dead and shake. He loves to take walks and rides well in cars. He will do better in a home with no children. He is on thyroid medications which are really, really cheap. Hammi is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, heartworm and flea preventative, is heartworm and fecal negative, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $275.00. (KG)

Picture of Available Dog Lacy 1166

tiny
(Pure)
Lacy is petite and ever so cute. She is a shy sheltie, but her personality is coming out more each day. She has lived most of her life outside or inside in a crate. She is afraid of thunder. (She "barks" at it!) A securely fenced yard is a must, as well and a person willing to continue her training. She is so smart. When she came in to rescue, she was already debarked. She walks well on leash and rides well in a car. Have I mentioned she is tiny? And oh so cute! She is spayed, up to date on shots and prevention. Her adoption fee is $275.

(Border Collie)
Adoption pending - Patch is a young and playful boy. He is currently undergoing a very expensive heartworm treatment. Soon he will be healthy and ready to be adopted. Once ready he will be up to date on shots, parasite free and on prevention, neutered and microchipped. Donations accepted for his treatment. He is the most loving and cuddling dog. He goes limp as a rag doll when you pet or brush him or he lays on the couch with you. He has the most gentle personality overall .. but he is not exactly gentle when taking treats from your hand unless it is from an open hand. Therefore, no children under the age of 12. He is a very smart boy and we are currently working with him to say "easy" when treats are offered so there is no grabbing. His adoption fee will be $275

(Border Collie)
Sophia (1100) and Madeline (1101)We are Sophia and Maddy. We’re border collie/sheltie mix sisters from different litters about 11 and 10 years old respectively. We love each other and need to stay together. Maddy says “I love long walks, playing fetch in the yard, rides in the car and drinking from the hose”. Sophie says “I love you and want to be with you. I love short walks, keeping up with my sister playing fetch, rides in the car, and also drinking from the hose. They say I suffer from epilepsy, but I don’t really suffer. I haven’t had one seizure while in foster care. I am on maintenance medications and eat a good diet”. We don’t have a problem with cats, we live with 3 right now and we get along with other dogs. We also love kids, especially the ones who throw the balls for us. We are a little older, but we have a lot of good years left. If you are an active couple, family or single looking for a couple of mature girls, please consider us. Our foster mom says we are the smartest and easiest girls to take care of. Both girls are up-to-date on all shots and spayed. The adoption fee for both dogs is $175 (CH)

Spanky? More like SPUNKY! Spanky was abandoned on the mean streets naked. He was picked up by animal control. His skin was terribly sunburned and he was obese. He has made great strides in loosing weight, but it will be a life long process. I know how he got fat - he begs. And he is so cute, it's hard to resist. He is right at your side all the time. He is seeking a kind person to let him sleep by the bed at night and follow you around the house. He loves to be pet and rubs his little head against you in return. Spanky is up to date on vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150

Picture of Available Dog Pixie 1062
Female SableWhite
Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie Purebred
5 years
28 pounds, 16 inches
(Housebroken, crate trained, kids ok.)
Pixie is a special case. For the first few YEARS of her life, she left in a cage alone. She missed out on human interaction and a warm home. She has come a long way, but still is shy and scared. She LOVES to play with other animals, and likes children of about 7 years or older. She is fully house trained, but will run away if not in a fenced yard. She must have a sheltie saavy home and a person with a lot of patience. Applicants without a fence will NOT be considered for Pixie due to her special needs. She would do well with one other dog in the house to show her the ropes. Pixie is very strong and healthy, and will take treats from you. She is smart and can learn tricks. She is up-to-date on all shots and is spayed. Pixie's adoption fee is $275. (CV)

Picture of Available Dog Joey 1160

(Pure)
Joey is a young and energetic boy. With that enthusiasm, he needs a family who will commit to formal training. He knows a few commands already (Sit, ball, come) but needs firm reinforcement. He LIVES to play fetch. He came to us underweight. We are making large strides to put weight on him, but he is a finicky eater. He will give you loads of attention if you choose to adopt him. Joey will only be available to a home with a securely fenced yard. He is up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, and parasite prevention. Joey's adoption fee is $350 See his video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7UxFLbLb-o

Woody is ready for his quiet forever home. He likes to nap throughout the day, but wants to be right next to his family. He is a bit timid around new people, but curious and wants to meet them. He is crate trained and walks well on leash, and rides well in a car. No children. No Cats. A fenced yard is required. He really is no trouble and is absolutely loved by his foster family. Woody is up to date on vaccinations, has had a thorough dental, and is neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.00 (KnJ)

Picture of Available Dog Maggie Bell 1136
female
Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie TriColor
6 years
14 inches, 15 pounds
(Crate trained, no kids <13)
Maggie Bell is 6-˝ years old, 14 inches high and weighs 15 pounds, a little bit of a girl. She is a very correct and sound dog in structure, although she has the cutest underbite! She is sound-sensitive, crate-trained and housebroken, but she hates being crated at the vet or in the house. However, she is great in the car when in the crate. Whoever adopts Maggie Bell needs to be careful and consistent with her training for another year or so. She is great with other animals of any size that are willing to play with her and I believe she would be good with teenagers. She is good on a lead and would do well in obedience and/or agility.Maggie Bell is one very smart little girl, with an attitude. She needs a job and another Sheltie around to show her how to act. So, I am only going to recommend someone familiar with this breed, who knows how to direct her.She will get out of any enclosure that has a hole wider than 3 inches. A secure fenced yard is a must!Maggie is up to date on shots, and heartworm prevention. She is spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $275.00.

Picture of Available Dog Daisy1152
female SableWhite
Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie Purebred
2 years
16 in, 33 pounds
(No children under 6)
Daisy is incredibly sweet, with a sparkling, very loving personality. She is laid-back for a Sheltie but does have a lot of energy. She loves other dogs and will do best in a home with a canine companion and fenced yard so she can run and play. Daisy is approx 2 years old, and still rather puppy-like in behavior. She is big for a Sheltie. She barks and talks plenty, as Shelties do, mostly at noises and sometimes for attention, and she has a big dog bark. She is very thunderstorm phobic. Daisy is crate-trained, house-trained, and walks well on leash, but would benefit greatly from further training to help her learn good manners and bond with her humans. She is friendly and loves everyone, including children who know how to treat a dog. She will chase a cat, but is not aggressive towards them. Daisy is up to date on shots, parasite free and on prevention, spayed and microchipped. Donations accepted for her treatment. Her adoption fee is $350.
